Description
SpaceAlpha Insights uses satellite imagery from synthetic aperture radar (SAR) using both X and L bands. Using the dual bands in tandem creates the ability to work at night and pierce clouds, tree and plant foliage, and into biomas. Matched with artificial intelligence techniques, the company expects to positively impact markets such as environmental studies, precision agriculture, logistics, military, insurance, market analysis.
While drones can produce images with better resolution, satellite mounted imaging equipment provides regular updates to observation data. Data scientists use the snapshot quality of the data to produce insights in changes over time.
