Description
Lunar Water Supply Company is a Calgary based company attempting to autonomously extract, filter and transport water from the moon to customers. Their aims include mining water on the moon in order to make it habitable.
According to the company's analysis, the cost of a cubic meter of water in Saskatoon is \(1.60, on the ISS is\)4M, to launch a litre of water into LEO is \(4,000, and on the surface of the moon is\)1.5B! By mining it in situ, they propose to bring the cost down significantly and support space exploration.
